While spotting an animal can be difficult, it is much easier to find evidence of them. As you walk along the trail look for coyote, bird, moutain lion, and snake tracks. Perhaps it's better that you only see the tracks of these animals!

THINGS TO TRY HERE:
  • How many different animal tracks can you find?
  • How can you tell which direction the animal was moving?
  • Each person find a set of animal tracks and tell a story about the animal - what kind is it? Where was it going? Was it walking or running?
  • Can you try to make tracks like different animals?
