Q: I submitted payment but then got another email. Did I do something wrong?
If you received confirmation of payment but then were asked to submit another form, please email Prof. Ben Ofori-Okai and Ms. Sheetal Singhal (benofori@slac.stanford.edu, sheetals@stanford.edu) to follow up.
Q: I need to make payment. How can I do that?

Q: What do I need to do to make sure I can get on site for the summer school?
As SLAC is a US Department of Energy (US DOE) Site, prior approval is required before you can access the lab for the summer school. If you have not already done so, please submit your site access form immediately. While the aim is to process the forms quickly, obtaining access can require up to 60 days. If you have already submitted and received confirmation of your submission, your application is going through the process. For non SLAC participants, you will be required to bring a RealID (e.g. a passport) to get onto site.

Q: When should I plan to arrive and depart?
The first event of the summer school is scheduled for 8 AM on Monday 15 June, and the final event, the BBQ celebration and award of poster prizes, is scheduled to conclude at 8 PM on Thursday, 18 June. Please plan your arrival and departure times accordingly around these dates and times.
Q: Is there a schedule for the summer school?
A more detailed schedule will be posted on the UXSS website around 1 June, as details are finalized.
Q: Is there lodging available?
We cannot provide lodging for all participants. We have been able to secure a block of rooms at the Stanford Guest House that you can book. Click on the link below or when making a reservation please use the code PULSE26. These rooms are available on a first come-first serve basis.
Beyond that, local accommodations can be found through other venues or house shares (e.g. Airbnb). A list of venues that can be booked at Stanford rates is available here

Q: How do I get to SLAC?
SLAC’s address is 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025. This link can be used to get directions to SLAC via Google Maps. Rideshares can be used to get access to site. When you arrive at the gate, let them know that you will be participating in the ultrafast x-ray summer school.
Q: Are meals provided during the summer school?
Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday - Thursday of the summer school. Dinner will be provided on Monday, Wednesday for those who are going on the excursion, and Thursday. Tuesday dinner is on your own.
