ALL STANFORD STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR THE ORCHESTRA COURSES. A Zero-Unit Enrollment option has been created for graduate students and for students unable to enroll in ensembles. For further information, read the ZERO UNIT ENROLLMENT POLICY.
The course number for the Stanford Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is Music 160. For the zero-unit option, it is Music 160Z.
The course number for the Stanford Philharmonia (SP) is Music 160A. For the zero-unit option, it is Music 160AZ.
NOTE: the zero-unit enrollment option is available with instructor permission only. Therefore, if you need permission to enroll the course for zero units, please click here and submit your request by the first Friday of each quarter.
Members who are not Stanford students, faculty or staff, may be assessed a non-refundable participation fee of $100 per academic quarter. The fee helps offset some of the program expenses such as facility charges and technical services. Payment is due at the first rehearsal of each quarter. Please make check payable to Stanford University.
