Bruce Finocchio


These photos were submitted soon after Bruce Finocchio was awarded Nature Slide of the Year at the North Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) for his "California Tent Moth Rest and Overnights on a Lupine Blossom" image. The lower photograph won 1st place in the wildlife category of California Academy of Scienceís 2003 Nature Photo Contest and was published in their magazine, California Wild, in the fall of 2003.

Two views of typical hummingbird stretches, pulling wings back and fanning tail feathers while maintaining perch. The Anna's Hummingbird (left) is a Stanford (and Bay Area) resident. The Allen's Hummingbird (right) is only here in the summer.
