Windows on Evolution: An Artistic Celebration of Charles Darwin

Here we see Darwin's idea that the vertebrate hand must trace back to a common ancestor. That is, disparate vertebrates tend to follow the familiar pattern of an upper arm, a forearm, a wrist and five fingers

The exhibit, our third, is another

example of the ways that Science

Art can expand interest in science

and--in the case of this exhibit--

how it can broaden our

understanding of evolution.

This is our first themed exhibit.
It is provided with the generous
support of :

Morphology of Hands: Human Hand, Asian Elephant, Aye-Aye, Bat Wing
Artists: Bryan Christie, Joe Lertola, Jeong Suh, Victoria Rompilla
