With shoreline responses to global (eustatic) sea-level change such a complex balance of competing factors, including many that are defined on a regional scale, what will this mean for conserving avian habitats?
Shore birds depend on a very specific environment to thrive. Slight changes of in water currents and water depth could eradicate or displace the feeding and breeding grounds of millions of birds, and making the fight to preserve some landhabitat for the shifting populations of wildlife would be very even more complicated in this age of greed.
