Chinese American at Stanford: A Reflexive Archaeology (2018)

Welcome to the virtual exhibit Chinese American at Stanford: A Reflexive Archaeology, a student-curated exhibit produced by Bright Zhou (Class of 2016) during an independent study course taught by Christina J. Hodge. It presents evocative items excavated from the Arboretum Chinese Labor Quarters site and the Stanford Mansion on campus lands. This physical exhibit was part of the Stanford Archaeology Center's Before Stanford initative in 2016, bringing to light stories of the deep and diverse cultural history of Stanford lands during Stanford 125. The university's 125th anniversary year highlighted the school's transformative impacts at the individual and global scale.
