Big Data / Analytics applied to Sustainable Materials Discovery and Development. The output of this proposal is a software platform that will enable scientists to systematically discover, upload, share, and analyze materials data. A pilot project at Stanford addressing catalysis has been proposed because catalysts are crucially important components in fuel cells, batteries, and clean fuel production. Further, catalysis offers numerous opportunities for early collaborations with industrial partners, a large volume of critical technical data, and represents a $14B industry globally.
