Vorpal

Vorpal is developing a small, low energy device for sterilizing liquids using pulsed electric field (PEF) technology. Our technology improves on prior PEF devices in size, cost, and efficiency; it is handheld and has the potential to purify on the order of 100 liters of water from the energy stored in a common household 9v battery (or a small solar panel system). Our initial focus is on small portable systems for emerging economies but the technology is scalable and can be extended to larger commercial systems while retaining high inherent efficiency.
