The mrVista Plots menu contains options for producing plots of data, as well as movies of the functionals. This menu contains a large number of options, organized into several submenus according to the type of analyses involved.

[edit] Current Scan Submenu

These plots present analyses of the time series data for the currrent scan and data type selected in the view. Most of the analyses center around Traveling Wave or Stimulus-frequency-based analyses of the time series. They also mostly require that you have an ROI selected, since the data will be drawn from within that region.

  • Mean Time Series: Plot the mean time series for this scan, across all voxels in the ROI. The tick marks are set according to the number of cycles specified for the traveling wave analyses. (Callback plotMeanTSeries; )
  • Mean Time Series of Multiple ROIs Like 'Mean Time Series' above, but plots several ROIs at once. Creates a subplot for each selected ROI (a dialog asks you to select which ones). (Callback plotMultipleTSeries; )
  • Single Cycle: (Callback plotSingleCycleErr; )
  • Single Cycle of Multiple ROIs: (Callback plotMultipleSingleCycleErr; )
  • FFT of Mean Time Series: (Callback plotFFTSeries; )
  • FFT of Multiple ROIs: (Callback plotMultipleFFTSeries; )
  • Mean FFT: For each voxel in the selected ROI, compute a Fast Fourier Transform to get the spectral power across frequencies in the time series. Then, average the FFTs across voxels, and plot the result. Doing the calculations in this order -- first the FFT, then across-voxels averaging -- prevents strong signals at different phases in different voxels from canceling each other out. The tick marks are set according to the number of cycles specified for the traveling wave analyses, with the stimulus frequency highlighted in red. A Z-score of the stimulus frequency compared to all other frequencies is also provided. (Callback plotMeanFFTSeries; )

Plot options in this menu allow you to compare data across scans, usually in the selected ROI. As above, most of the analyses center around Traveling Wave or Stimulus-frequency-based analyses of the time series.
