welcome welcome welcome!
Hello. My name is Alice Tor and I am a PhD student in the Electrical Engineering department at Stanford University, advised by the illustrious
Dr. Paul Nuyujukian
in the
Brain Interfacing lab.
I am an NDSEG fellow and an NSF GRFP awardee.
I have a broad range of skills and interests and have lots of experience bringing all sorts of ideas to reality, from software/data pipelines to electro-mechanical devices!
I'm especially interested in ways to apply technical engineering skills to meaningful spaces, like medical devices, public services, and supporting underserved populations.
My current research involves both experimental and computational motor systems neuroscience.
I also enjoy tinkering with embedded systems, hardware, and outdated website development methods :)
I care a lot about outreach, STEM education, and all types of community service.
In my free time you can probably find me volunteering somewhere, spending time with my favorite humans and cats, or producing fiber art of questionable quality.
A list of my research publications is available
here.
Do you have an opportunity you think I'd be a good fit for, or would you just like to chat?
