Mabel Annie Hunke3, born July 2, 1904 in Wadena County, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry William Hunke(2) and Anna Clara (Mautasch) Hunke.

In 1905, 1910 and 1920 Mabel was living with her parents in Rockwood Township, Wadena County, Minnesota.

As an adult she made her living as a servant or maid. She apparently never married.

In 1930 Mabel lived with Leslie and Mary J. Glover in New Richmond, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, as a private family servant. Afterwards she returned to Minnesota where she lived in St. Paul, Ramsey County. Various addresses there are given as her residence in the 1930s, possibly reflecting the homes of others in she was a live-in servant. In 1931 and 1934 her address was 1240 Lincoln Avenue. In 1933 and 1937 her address was 1293 Grand Avenue, the specific residence given as Apt. 202 in the former year and 205 in the latter. She is also known to have lived in St. Paul in 1935. Her occupation was given as made in 1931, 1933 and 1934.

In 1940 Mabel lived with Elizabeth Finnegan, an elderly widow, at 1200 Lincoln Avenue, St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, as a maid in a private home.

Mabel's last residence was Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota. She died September 19, 1995 in —, Ramsey County, Minnesota, and was buried September 22, 1995 in the Hunkey family section of Calvary Cemetery, Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota. Her grave bears a marker with the following inscription:
