Henry Edward Hunkey3, born March 26, 1910 in Rockwood
Township, Wadena County, Minnesota, the son of
Henry William Hunke2 and
Anna Clara (Mautasch) Hunke.
Henry's occupation was farmer and mechanic. His Social Security card was issued in Minnesota. He remained single and lived with his parents on their farm in Rockwood Township, Wadena County, Minnesota for most of his life through at least 1940. In June 1910 Henry was living with his parents in Rockwood Township, Wadena County, Minnesota. His name was then given as Edward H. Hunkey. In 1920 he was living with his parents on their farm in Rockwood Township. He was attending school at that time. In 1930 he lodged with the family of Paul C. Gilbertson in Rockwood Township. He worked as a laborer on their farm. His brother Paul was then lodging on the neighboring farm of Hugh Monroe. In 1935 and 1940 he was living with his parents again on their farm in Rockwood Township. In the latter year his occupation was given as automobile mechanic in a private garage. Henry's last residence was Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota. He died December 30 or 31, 1991 in Rockwood Township, Wadena County, Minnesota, and was buried January 3, 1992 in the Hunkey family section of Calvary Cemetery, Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota. His grave bears a marker with the following inscription:
