Robert Verne Kunde (Bob)4,
born March 17, 1933 in Yuba City, Sutter County, California,
the son of
Otto Ludwig Kunde3 and
Anna Elizabeth (Traudt) Kunde.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Yuba City. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Yuba City Union High School June 9, 1950. He afterwards attended Yuba College and Sacramento State College, both of which he graduated from. In 1953 he resided at 429 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City. His occupation was given as student. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era, as an MP in the Third Infantry Division. In May of 1955 he had the rank of Pfc. and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. His home address was given as 429 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City. After completing his stint in the Army and graduating from Sacramento State he worked for Victor Equipment Company in Yuba City. Robert married, 3:00 P.M. November 21, 1959 at the First Methodist Church, Yuba City, Sutter County, California, — — —. She was born — –, — in —, the daughter of — — and — (—) —. Children:
From 1960 to 1961 the Kundes lived in a house at 271c B Street, Yuba City. From at least 1960 Bob worked for Victor Equipment Company, welding supplies, 565 Reeves Avenue, Yuba City. His occupation was given as office clerk in 1960 and office worker in 1961. He retained the latter position through 1965. From 1962 to 1964 the Kundes lived in a house at 653 Brooks Avenue, Yuba City. From 1965 onward the Kundes have lived in a house at 2700 Tierra Buena Road, Yuba City CA 95991. Bob was office manager for Victor Equipment Company from 1966 to 1968, and store manager for the same company, the name of which was changed to Victor California, from 1969 through at least 1981. Later he worked for AmeriGas until his retirement. Robert V. Kunde, 79, died at his home on May 15, 2012, aged 79. He was preceded in death by his son Rodger and sister Joyce Panecaldo. He was survived his wife, one child, three brothers, two grandchildren, a great nephew and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Ullrey Memorial Chapel. A memorial service was held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Rd., Yuba City. A reception followed at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rodger Kunde Scholarship fund were suggested. |
