Oscar was living at home and attending school in June, 1880, at which time the family was living at 425 Springfield Avenue, Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.

In 1900 Oscar lived with his brother Charles and his wife at 19 North Seventh Street, Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. His sister Tillie also lived with them. Oscar's occupation was given as bookkeeper, chemicals.

Oscar never married. He was living at 463 85th Street, Brooklyn, New York in 1944, when his sister Laura Metz died.

Oscar died April 1, 1947, aged 78, in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He was buried, like most of his siblings, in the Traudt family section of Woodland C emetery in Newark, New Jersey. His grave marker bears the following inscription:
