Beverly A Zodrow4, July 9, 1930 in
Minot, Ward County, North Dakota, the daughter of
William Howard Zodrow3 and
Anna Evelin (Kleppe) Zodrow.
Beverly was raised in Minot. She attended Minot High School from 1945-1948, and Minot State University from 1948-1952. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Minot State Teachers College. She taught high school mathematics in North Dakota for more than three years. She also worked at Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, in the accounting office for two major hotels in Minot, and in the Decca Records Distribution Office in Seattle. Beverly married, , 19 in , Jablovskis. He was born , 19 in , the son of Jablovskis and () Jablovskis. Children: Beverly began working as a mathematician at the Naval Proving Ground, Dahlgren, Virginia in 1957, where she was the only female professional in the weapons development department. She became a general engineer there in 1974, and a mechanical engineer in 1982. Among numerous other honors, she received the Dahlgren Women in Science and Engineering Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988. She retired in 1994 after more than 36 years of government service.The Jablovskises were living in Dahlgren, King George County, Virginia in 1971, when Beverlys father died. In retirement they lived in Schoolcraft, Michigan. Beverly died February 20, 2006 at her home in Schoolcraft, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. She was survived by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and siblings. A memorial service was held at 1:00 P.M. August 16, 2006 at Christ Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. |
