COMMUNITY RHETORICS: Writing from the Inside
Conference #1
This is a peer review conference (to include you, me, and your peer review partner) in which we will discuss your and your partner's drafts of the "Leap-of-Faith/Contact Zone" essay. Please read and review your partner's draft prior to conference. Please bring the completed peer review form to conference. This conference will run about between 1 and 1 1/4 hours.
Conference #2 (and Conference #2.5)
Round One: I will meet on Monday, October 28, with each collaborative group to discuss planning, progress on research, and technical considerations for the Audio Essay,
Round Two: The script of the Audio Essay, in polished draft form, is due at conference on Tuesday, November 19. I will meet on Tuesday, November 19, with each collaborative group to read through and discuss revisions of the script of the Audio Essay.
The finished and recorded project is due in class on Tuesday, November 26, and will be aired that day.
Conference #3
In this peer review conference, we will discuss drafts of the research paper. Each conference will include you, me, and your peer review partner(s) and will run approximately 1 hour and fifteen minutes. Because there are 7 (not 6 or 8) students in this class, one of the conferences will include three rather than two student partners. This conference will run a bit longer, but we will try our best to keep it to an hour and a half.
Please note the time and the location of your conference, and show up on time, please, prepared to stay the full time. Please bring with you the written peer review of your partner's draft. This review will be based on the peer review questions for this particular assignment; follow the link to this peer review here, or from the Assignments page.
