The National AIDS Memorial Grove is a living tribute to all whose lives have been touched by AIDS. Our mission is to provide a healing sanctuary, to increase awareness of this national treasure, and to promote learning and understanding of the human tragedy of the AIDS pandemic.

Precita Eyes Mural Arts & Visitors Center, established in 1977 and currently located in San Francisco's Mission District, is a non-profit multipurpose community arts organization that has played an integral role in the city's cultural heritage and arts education. One of only three community mural centers in the United States, the organization sponsors and implements ongoing mural projects throughout the Bay Area and internationally.

Project Read is committed to providing literacy training throughout our diverse community, offering five programs that meet the diverse needs and reading levels of adults, adolescents and families.

 

The Stanford Blood Center supplies patients with over 100,000 blood products per year to help save lives. We rely on volunteer blood donors from our community in order to accomplish our mission of helping patients. We encourage everyone who is able to give blood to do so.

Project Description:

The Volunteer Legal Services Program (VLSP) provides free legal aid to low-income and disadvantaged people, including battered women, disabled children, abused seniors, homeless people, and countless others. VLSP has become the largest and only comprehensive legal services program in San Francisco providing free legal aid to people in need. Over 3,000 active volunteers, along with staff, provide legal and supporting social services to 30,000 clients annually. This year VLSP celebrates its 25th anniversary.
