Dan Andrei Iancu
About MeI am currently an Associate Professor in the Operations, Information and Technology group at the Graduate School of Business, and am affiliated with the Woods Institute. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research from MIT, and prior to joining Stanford I spent one year as a Goldstein Fellow in the Business Analytics and Mathematical Sciences Department at IBM Research. Research InterestsMy interests lie at the interface of operations, risk management, and finance. A lot of my work has been aimed at developing new tools for dynamic optimization under uncertainty and prescriptive analytics, and applying these to operational and contracting problems arising in complex value chains. TeachingI am very passionate about showcasing how quantitative modeling and prescriptive analytics can improve decision making in complex settings that humans, businesses and organizations face.
