History

I started getting involved with making stained glass in October 1996, following in the footsteps of my uncle, Richard Faucher, who has been making stained glass for years. I had asked him to make a panel to insert in the study bathroom door in our new house, purchased in 1996.

I have taken 2 classes , producing two panels, with Evergreen Stained Glass in Burlingame, sponsored by the Burlingame Parks and Rec Department, each class resulting in a panel. Trudie Givens, a former instructor at Evergreen,  runs a weekly class on Monday nights at Mercy High School.

I moved on to be under the tutelage of Gene Mayo of Stained Glass Images in San Carlos.

Materials

My main source of supplies is Gene Mayo, owner of Stained Glass Images,  in San Carlos. The primary backup is Franciscan Glass in Mountainview, which is the wholesaler for most of the retail shops in the area. Finally, I mail-order some supplies from Delphi Glass in Michigan.

Design Tools

The patterns I design are done on my PC. I use The Glass Eye from Dragonfly Software.
