About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the sociology department at Stanford University.

I'm also a research affiliate at the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality. I got my B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and I have a Masters degree in Public Policy from Stanford.

My research focuses on poverty, social inequality, and public policy. I'm especially interested in the transformation of the labor market in the United States over the past century and how it has shaped the lives of people in different social classes, especially those at the bottom of the class structure. I'm also interested in the social programs that have been implemented over that period to address poverty, the ways in which those programs have succeeded, and the ways in which they have failed.
