Homework: Go to www.elllo.org.
1) Listen to two interviews from someone from a country other than the US, Canada, or your native country. For the first one, listen first without the text and then read the transcript; for the second, read the transcript first and then listen to the interview without it. Think about the differences between these two procedures for helping you improve your listening and be prepared to discuss in class.
2) Explore the rest of the elllo site and think about how you might use it to help meet your needs.
3) Start working on your independent project. Plan to do at least three 40-minute sessions by this Sunday.
4) (optional) Try listening to an essay on the "This I Believe" site.
