II. Report on homework: 1. Listen to CNN Student News for Monday May 4: www.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/studentnews/05/03/transcript.mon/index.html. Study the transcript for new words and phrases and any examples of word play you notice.
III. Planning: Set times for your listening exercises and do the work then. Failure to plan and follow the plan is the single greatest cause of failure to improve.

Homework:
1. Go to

and browse through the videos there. Pick one that looks interesting. Try
listening to it for at least 10 minutes, toggling the captions off and on as
needed. Come prepared to discuss your experience in the next class.
2. Continue work on your independent project: Be sure to set objectives and add
comments in your reports.
3. We'll have a makeup class this Friday at 3:15 in 260-301 (next to my
office).
