Homework for the next class:

1. Prepare a  presentation for the next class on a topic related to your research--it can be a revised version of this week's "body" talk or something new. It should be 4-6 minutes and include a PPT or other visual support, keeping in mind the role of visuals to enhance, not distract. Be sure to use at least one question and practice formulas for answering questions from the audience. Note that you will need to field questions both during and after the talk, so be prepared.

2. Bring in four copies of an abstract you have recently written for a paper or conference presentation (this can be for a specialist audience). Your classmates will be reading them and providing feedback.

3. Write the answers to Williams, Lesson 7:    7.1: 2, 6, 10, 12;    7.4: 2, 4

4. Meet to discuss your video and any writing you want my feedback on.
