About

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. I’m a part of the Schnitzer Group, where I work towards building computational tools for the analysis & understanding of neuroscience data, particularly that collected from in-vivo calcium imaging. I received my B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.

Research Highlights

  • Applied Statistics & Optimization: Efficient algorithms for robust signal extraction from calcium imaging datasets

  • Machine Learning: Unsupervised learning for understanding & interpreting neuroscience data

  • Neural Networks / Representation Learning: Improving neural network-based language models
