Dear First Virtual customer (or potential customer),

I am writing to apologize to you for the delay in answering your recent message to "humanhelp@fv.com". We realize that in the last week we have not been meeting our committment to 48 hour service, and I wanted to let you know that your message has not been lost and we are working on the problem.

Our transaction volumes are currently growing at the rate of 16% per WEEK. The load on humanhelp is growing proportionately. We are in the process of training additional operators, but in the meantime our most experienced operator took sick last week, leading to a serious backlog. He is back at work, and we have several more operators in training, but it will take a little while to catch up. We thank you for your patience and for your interest in First Virtual.
