   About Me

I am a physical oceanographer and engineer and currently at Stanford University Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory where I also completed my PhD in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. Before this, I received my Masters from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in water resources engineering, and I subsequently worked in engineering consulting before coming to Stanford.

My broad research interest is in environmental fluid mechanics, especially internal waves, bottom boundary layers, flood risk assessment, machine learning, coral reef hydrodynamics and the coupling of physics and biological processes. I use a combination of field observations and numerical models to conduct research
