Kabir Aladin Chandrasekher

I am a second year PHD student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, advised by Professor Andrea Montanari. I am gratefully supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the Stanford Graduate Fellowship (SGF). Before joining Stanford, I studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley. There, I was fortunate to work with Professors Kannan Ramchandran and Jean Walrand.

Outside of research, I enjoy playing basketball and am quite accomplished in earning last place in fantasy basketball leagues.

I am broadly interested in the limits, both information-theoretically and algorithmically, of various practically-relevant random systems. Recently, I have been thinking about the effect of missing or corrupted data in estimation tasks.

Received a departmental EECS Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award as well as campus Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award
