CMU 16-778: Mechatronic Design

Autonomous Window Washing Robot - Awarded 1st place prize

Worked with a team of 4 engineering students to design the mechanical, electrical, and software systems for an open ended robot capable of washing dirty building windows. My team responsibilities included:

  • Mechanical design of the final prototype using Solidworks
  • Wrote code for a complimentary filter for pose esimtation using an IMU
  • Developed PID controller to stabilize EDF speed for autonomous suction adjustments
  • Our team won the 1st Place Award with a $5,000 prize!
