Hello! My name is Makoto J. Tsuchitani. I have enjoyed working at Stanford University for the past several years. At present I am the Associate Director of Faculty Services and Learning Systems for Academic Computing Services at Stanford University.

The focus of my work is to promote and support the use of technology resources to further faculty instructional and research efforts. To achieve this goal, I devote my time to managing faculty consulting programs, such as the Academic Technology Specialist Program. In addition to the consulting programs, I am also involved in managing a couple of software development teams, the Academic Computing Software Development team and the CourseWork User Experience (UX) team. CourseWork is our campus learning management system which is based on Sakai.

Given I have switched to using a third generation Apple iPad as my primary computer, I have decided to periodically share some of my experiences on the following blog, Ubiquity @ Stanford.
