RSNA Action Items

• Steve send Parvati network report
• Write up critique for Mark Ackerman on demo (LeRoy)

CSIRO Equipment

Order processed by Robert and Sheila. The mirror/frame arrived but the mirror was broken. Robert will try to find a new mirror.

Parvati sent the subcontract out.

Quote for API & software is $8,000 + 15% per year for maintenance & upgrades. Parvati asked that Robert go ahead and order vis Sheila.

Action Items

• Remove table from server room to prepare for CSIRO equipment. Work with Jenn & Sheila to find new location. (Robert)

MIST

• Determine budget and equipment needs (LeRoy still working on this.)

Videoconferencing review

Parvati is writing a new proposal with Mark Newsom that will involve using AccessGrid. She also advised that we should build it into the M classrooms.

Action Items

• David will review AccessGrid in January.
• Margaret will contact ITSS to see what they recommend.
• Steve will review AccessGrid on the selection criteria that Sakti and Margaret drew up. (Margaret will send him the doc.)

U. of MI SOW

• Parvati and LeRoy will talk with Carl Berger.

Anatomy Lesson Follow-Up

• Computer in CCSR needs application software loaded. Robert will set up and Margaret will document.
• Set up a test date for troubleshooting:

   flickering

   RSV - leader/follower problem

QA Checklist

No progress

Last Mile Proposal

LeRoy talked with librarian (Debbie) who advised him of another funding possibility. LeRoy and Margaret are working on a needs assessment--need input from David. Parvati suggested that LeRoy contact Valerie Florence at NSF to get more advice.

Collaborative Software Review

Chris suggested that it is possible to use our current Wiki but add templates. Steve had reviewed Contribute and felt it might be doable but it does require FTP. Parvati suggested Sparrow might be a possibility.

Action Items

• Need to continue looking for a solution. (Chris) Will try out the template idea.

Posting Spring to Elegon

Parvati relayed that Rahul determined that Elegon needs some compilers. Steve verified that during the meeting. Will finish this up with Teresa when he returns in January.

NGI Video

Add to 2 video streaming servers: Steve's & ....?. Work with Michelle to get access. Put up on NGI Web page. (Robert)

New Projects

MMVR

Parvati will attend TATRC reception. Steve will be leading the stereo session. Ken is giving a paper on Saturday. Parvati received invitation to "Virtual Soldier" sessions on Friday. Parvati suggested that Robert attend and work out arrangements with Sheila for travel.

Simulation workshop - Tuesday, Jan. 13th

Stanford workshop for faculty to discuss using simulations for med students/grad students, residents, physicians, Allied Health students. It will be held in Clark Center. Keynote will be delivered by Rick Saravo (sp?). Other invited panelists include Kelly Skeff, William Swartout, Miriam Curet, Robert Georhsm but not all have accepted.

Action Items

• Parvati asked Margaret to be document the event and put together a booklet/write-up for faculty.
• Need a video person to record event (Parvati)
• Invite Dan Schwartz from SCIL.

Announcements & Wrap-Up

Kodak will be doing a demo after MMVR.

Steve found a new Stereo system from BARCO.

Priorities for early January:

• Preparing for CSIRO visit & documenting for QA
• Simulation workshop on January 13th
