Because conducting, teaching, performance, administrative, and master class obligations as Director of Choral Studies and Chair of the Department of Music at Stanford University keeps his schedule packed, Steve must respectfully decline most performing invitations. However, he is able to squeeze in a few gigs each year.

8:00 p.m., Guitar Faculty Showcase. Campbell Recital Hall, Braun Music Center, Stanford University, Stanford, CA. The Friends of Music at Stanford present a faculty showcase featuring Steve Sano (ki ho'alu), Charles Ferguson (classical guitar), and Rick Vandivier (jazz guitar). Admission is free, but donations to the Friends of Music will be accepted in support of their Piano Maintenance Fund.
