***If you have recently submitted your application, or you are an admitted student and your department is requiring you to obtain a waiver, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with “TOEFL Waiver Request” in the subject line.
Only submit this form for an evaluation for a waiver to the TOEFL requirement if:
- *You have already submitted your Stanford application and
- *Your first language is not English and
- *You earned (or will earn prior to enrollment at Stanford) a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree from an international institution in which English is the only language of instruction.
A waiver is NOT needed if your first language is not English and you have earned (or will have earned) a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in the United States, Australia, Canada (except Quebec), New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland, or the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales) as you are automatically exempted from the TOEFL requirement.
The evaluation process can take up to 15 business to complete. You will be notified via email.
This form is not applicable for Law, Medicine MD and Graduate School of Business applicants. Contact the School’s Admission Office for English proficiency requirements.
