Molecular Biology of Hormone-sensitive lipase

Hormone-sensitive lipase is  a neutral lipase and  is the rate-limiting enzyme for the hydrolysis of stored fat, triglyceride. It also hydrolysis neutral cholestrol ester and relase cholestrol, hence have an important role for the synthesis of steriod hormones. We are interested in the molecular biology of hormone-sensitive lipase, focusing on the structure-function relationship of the enzyme, as well as the mechanism that regulates the maximal activity of this enzyme.  Here are some of the recent publications from the lab.
