Boundary Waters is probably my favorite place for camping. We are not talking about driving up to the campground and setting the tent, instead, this is a 4-day camping trip with a canoe as the only way to transport. The Boundary Waters locates in the northern border of Minnesota; adjacent to Canada, with hundreds of lakes inter-connected to each other. You get a map, a compass and a canoe, then start your journey. During my four stays in late summer of 1995, I only encountered less than 20 people. One of most remarkable things to enjoy was the ever-changing sky every night. On this specific day, we were eating our dinner when the sky suddenly changed to this pinkish, mellow color. I set up my tripods, and squeezed a few frames before it became totally dark. Even it was short; I will remember it for a long time to come. I told myself, I will go back again on day.
