Migrating songbirds are always fun to watch. They move in a speedy path either on their way to the northern bleeding ground or to the south for winter. They are also busy feeding themselves, ready for the long trip. I love to watch them and look for the rare ones. However, it is hard to capture their images with camera because of their small size and fast movement. I encountered this group of 10 plus yellow-rumped warblers in this sunny afternoon. They were flying around, eating flower buds and chasing each others. The one in the picture is a mature male of the Audubon variant. It has bright yellow throat bordered with black strips, and yellow shoulder patches. It is fun to watch these energetic little fellows, and more fun to have one's picture taken.
