My name is Sal, a current co-term in MechE (Design undergrad) and I like all things design, especially the interactive aspects (working with people/users). I've worked on many fabrication projects through the CHARM Lab and PRL/ME courses and can work with any processes (maybe except weld). As far as workload this quarter goes, I'm also in ME210 (Mechatronics), a light 1 unit design course and am a CA for the new Clubhouse (CHIP).

Hello! I am a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in human-centered design. I have completed ME 102 and am currently enrolled in ME 103, and I spend significant time in the Product Realization Lab (PRL), where I am very familiar with the available tools, fabrication processes, and resources. I have hands-on experience with prototyping and enjoy iterating designs based on testing and user needs.

Through past student projects and coursework, I have developed solid skills in fabrication, teamwork, presentation, and technical report writing. I manage my time well and have a moderate workload this quarter, but I am committed to contributing consistently and reliably to a team.

My passion for this course is deeply personal: growing up as a caregiver for my grandmother with limited mobility shaped my desire to design solutions that improve quality of life for people with disabilities and older adults. I am highly motivated to work on projects that combine empathy, engineering, and practical impact to make everyday tasks easier and more accessible.

I'm a junior in Mechanical Engineering, I have previous project experience in the PRL and Lab64 through classes like ME100 series.

I've participated in Engineers for a Sustainable World where I helped build a glass crusher recycling machine. I've also done various personal projects and have taken ME102. I'm currently in ME103 and learning the processes that come with that. I'm very comfortable presenting and report writing.

Hello, my name is Pablo Morales. I am a current senior studying Mechanical Engineering with a huge interest in design specifically for accessibility. I have lots of experience in additive manufacturing and design. Quarter is pretty tight due to heavy course load but free past 5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. With addition to these days free 9am-12:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Being an individual who is challenged with ADHD I love the concept of inclusivity and why Im so passionate about designing for all.

I have a strong personal interest and passion for storytelling so the afterlife project, while I got the sense that it was slight satire, I found that I connected with the most but I also don't think too many people will choose that one so I am also super open to creating laptop storage and cutting board solutions for Abby.

I'm a second year masters' student studying mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics. I love mechatronics, designing circuit boards and programming microcontrollers. I have a strong preference for Danny's obstacle detector project. I am passionate about engineering projects to benefit people with disabilities. For 3 credits I want to put aside at least 12 hours a week for this class.

Coterm student here: BS Mechanical Engineering (Product Realization Concentration) and MS Computer Science

At Stanford, I've taken ME102, ME103, ME104, ME127, ME128, ME129, and ME170, all of which involved substantial work in the PRL. Beyond school, I’ve done hands-on mechanical design work during internships at NVIDIA, Google, and Xos Trucks.

For my senior capstone project, I worked on an off-road wheelchair attachment for Kyaro Assistive Tech, which was a super rewarding experience. I got to travel to Tanzania and even meet with some wheelchair users we were designing for!

I am pretty free on Monday Wednesdays, and Fridays (no class those days). My Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Thursday evenings are also pretty free.

I’m currently a junior studying STS with experience working on small team projects. I’m strongest in presentations and writing, and I have some hands-on experience with CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, and basic prototyping. My workload this quarter is manageable, so I can commit steady time to a team project. I’m excited to work on something practical and user-centered that can meaningfully help people with disabilities and older adults, and I enjoy collaborating in team settings.

I have fabrication experience through ME103 and ME104, and am currently taking the ME Capstone simultaneously. I'm passionate about biomechanics and injury prevention/rehabilitation; for this quarter, I have a good amount of availability for this project.

I'm Grace, a senior studying mechanical engineering. In the past I've taken other project-based classes like ME102/103, ME127, ME 104, and ME170A. Currently I'm in ME170B and ME 128. I have experience with all of the tools in the PRL and am especially comfortable 3D printing, laser cutting, machining, and welding. I'm excited to work on a project to help benefit the daily life of our project presenters and additional people with disabilities and hope to work with a team that's equally excited about this course and making an impact!

Design 11 final project: lacrosse ball picker upper-- in process of patenting by NIKE. Volunteered for Adaptive Ski Program in high school to help people who are visually, hearing, physically impaired, etc. available most evenings and mornings.

Experience in autonomous cars and simulation, and raspberry pi controllers. a medium load quarter, and excited to help the community!
