Cumulative Distribution and our UCLA population
What is the percentage of individuals between 5 foot 5 inches and 6 feet tall?
The problem asks for the area beneath the Normal Curve between and the x- coordinates 65 and 72. As before, it is necessary to convert the x- coordinates of our Normal Curve to the z-coordinate values of the Standard Normal Curve using the equation for z, and from there consult the z-distribution table.
Our solution is to find the area under the curve from x=0 to x=65, and then from x=0 to x=72 and add the values together.
