Dose-Response Relationship
Evaluation of the dose-response relationship or the dose-effect relationship is important in pharmacology. One can change the dose of a drug and measure a response. The response can be any type of response (e.g., decrease in systolic blood pressure by a certain amount, death of animal, etc.).
Dose % Response 2 10 4 20 5 25 8 40 10 50 20 70 30 85 50 90 A sigmoid curve is obtained if the dose axis is logarithmic.
