Our educational plan
The academics of the FRC Domain will educate students and postdocs selected from a world-wide pool with a special emphasis on simulation of composites manufacturing. They will provide a pool of talent that our Team Members and Partners may choose to draw from. In addition, our links and collaboration with professional training organizations, and Community Colleges will provide the needed know-how in FRC for training a corps of technicians to support our industrial effort. This training network will rely heavily on the need of industry so graduates can qualify positions in composites manufacturing.
Stanford University within the FRC Domain will also offer our members and partners training in the fundamental and practical aspects of composites and their manufacturing in a course and workshop that is well established in the Industry. Co-location of qualified student/postdoc at these companies will also be offered.
Agreement to share intellectual properties among all parties will be strictly enforced. Papers and presentations by participating student/postdoc shall be encouraged subject to approval by our collaborating Industrial Affiliates.
Interested companies are requested to contact our lead, c/o Steve Tsai, to meet and discuss problems of common interest in order to formulate collaborating projects, its principal investigators, goal and approach, schedule and total estimated in-house budget that can be used as in-kind support to the RFC Domain Initiative.
