The Stanford Hmong Outreach Program Promoting Education (SHOPPE) is an academically enriching program that provides high school students the opportunity to experience and preview college life. Highlights of the program include: university lectures, a campus tour, a workshop with a Stanford admissions officer, and dinner with Stanford HSU alumni. We hope that students who attend the program will further be inspired to pursue higher education and gain the knowledge and tools to do so.

This year, SHOPPE will be held from April 7, 2017 to April 9, 2017

The program is open to all Hmong high school students who aspire to attend college with preference given to sophomores and juniors. Accepted applicants will have to provide their own transportation to Stanford University. We will coordinate carpools with parents and guardians of accepted applicants to complete this process. All drivers will be fully reimbursed for gas. However, we will be providing transportation for students living in the Fresno and Sacramento areas to return home on Sunday.

Housing and food are provided!

Feel free to check out the SHOPPE 2017 Facebook event for more information and possible updates!
