The Department of Management Science & Engineering is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its founding. Ours is the story of faculty, students, staff, and friends who collectively shaped our present and who will shape our future. We welcome you to our new home, the Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center, on Friday, October 15, 2010, for a day of conversation, education, entertainment, fellowship and fun.
Over the course of the day faculty and Ph.D. students will speak about exciting initiatives in financial systems, decision making, global policy, health care and medical systems, network structure and analysis, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and energy. Distinguished alumni will share remembrances, discuss how their experience at Stanford has shaped their diverse careers and discuss the role that MS&E can play in addressing the challenges of an increasingly complex world. Karen Richardson of Silverlake Partners and William J. Perry, Professor Emeritus, MS&E and the 19th U.S. Secretary of Defense will respectively deliver alumni and faculty keynote talks. Good food, drink and entertainment from jazz to comedy will punctuate the day, ending with an evening concert and dance by the acclaimed Bay Area rock band, Moonalice.
We look forward to seeing you! Please RSVP quickly as space is limited.
