COURSE MATERIALS, ASSIGNMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Reading and case assignments will come from either the primary textbook for the class, Entrepreneurial Finance: A Casebook (Gompers & Sahlman, John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 2002), or the course reader. The textbook is available at the Stanford Bookstore. The course reader is available online at and instructions on registering are listed below.

Reading materials, case discussions, and email assignments may be added or changed as the course progresses, and some may be distributed in class. All other communications regarding the course (changes, new assignments, special sessions, etc.) will either be made in class, on the class web page, or sent directly to students by e-mail.

Students are expected to complete assignments before class and email their responses to msande272-homework@lists.stanford.edu by 10pm on the evening before the day of class. Students are encouraged to discuss cases and other course material in small study groups but, unless otherwise assigned, are expected to email individual responses to assignment questions.

There will also be one team assignment to be completed in groups of 5 students each. This will involve presenting an analysis of a specific case to the entire class. This exercise will be further discussed during the second class session. Each team should expect to present at least once case during the term.

Full on-time attendance is expected at every class. Students are expected to display name cards in every class.

FINAL EXAM
The final examination will be an individual take home exam. Materials will be distributed in class during the final class meeting on June 6, 2006, and will be due by 10am on Monday, June 12, 2006.
