Additionally, companies have the opportunity to become directly involved by funding Student Fellowships and Faculty Research though the Bio-X Interdisciplinary Initiatives Program.

By building a close relationship with Stanford, companies learn from one of the world's best research institutes. Many Stanford researchers collaborate directly with industry. Stanford technologies may be licenced through the Office of Technolgy Transfer, and opportunities exist for formal collaboration and sponsored research through the Industrial Contracts Office.
