On October 20th the Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford, Stanford University Libraries, and Stanford’s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences sponsored a conference at Stanford on Geospatial Computational Social Science. Chang discusses the overall history of the project and the challenges it faces.
