MAKING TIES: THE CANGDONG VILLAGE PROJECT

On May 30, 5pm, the Stanford Archaeology Center at Stanford University will be hosting the premier of Making Ties: The Cangdong Village Project. We are excited to bring this documentary to campus. This film chronicles the development of an interdisciplinary research program on a home village (qiaoxiang) of Chinese migrants.

The film screening is free and open to the public.

The film will be screened in English with Chinese (simplified) subtitles. In keeping with the film’s theme, the pre-screening refreshments will be a Cantonese dinner buffet. The post-screening panel includes the filmmaker Barre Fong as well as several Stanford students who were involved in the project.

The event is listed on Stanford’s Event Calendar: https://events.stanford.edu/events/836/83675/
