HISTORIC:

Crofutt p. 164- “Here we cross one of the brances of the Yuba, which goes leaping down the rocks in a shower of spray during the summer, but in the winter the chasm shows but a bed of snow and ice.” [sic]
 

MODERN:

The falls, never easily seen from the train, have now disappeared entirely. Note the dam in the background of the picture.
