#250. Upper Cascade

HISTORIC:

Shearer p. 244 “The time in passing is too short to take in the charms of the water-falls in summer, or the ice-clad rocks in winter, and the extended view on the right.” Hart’s picture of the Upper Cascade was apparently taken from the bridge.

MODERN:

The modern waterfall remains, but the diminished maximum flow is indicated by the growth of vegetation in its canyon.
