Donald Davis (Don)4, born Donald Knuppel about 1922 or
1923 in Illinois or South Dakota, the son of
William Frederick Knuppel and
Frances Mary (Hunke) Knuppel3.
After his parents' divorce and his mother's remarriage in 1925 he was the
stepson of
Alvah Mandeville Davis.
In 1930 Donald lived with his mother and stepfather at #4, 408 South Sanborn Street, Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota. In 1935 and 1940 he lived with his mother and stepfather at 408 South Sanborn Boulevard, Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota. By the latter year, if not before, Donald was using his stepfather's surname. He was living in 1980, when his brother Delbert Knuppel died. He may have been the Donald Davis, born July 22, 1922, whose last residence was Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota, whose Social Security card was issued in South Dakota before 1951, and who died April 1, 1995. |
