Albert Paul Kunde (Bert)4, born February 9, 1925 in
Yuba City, Sutter County, California, the son of
August Henry Kunde (Albert)3 and
Veda Lucille (Inman) Kunde.
In 1930 Albert lived with his parents in the household of his uncle James F. Grey at 335 N. 74, Seattle, King County, Washington. He lived in Seattle in 1935.
In 1940 Bert lived with his mother at 1709 1/2 Harvard Avenue, Seattle, King County, Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, enlisting February 10, 1942 and released March 5, 1946. Albert married, September 18, 1945 in —, Pauline Halverson. She was born September 6, 1925 in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, the daughter of Harry Halverson and Helen Minnie (Bahr) Halverson. Children: In 1946 Albert resided at 429 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City. His occupation was given as driver.In 1949 Bert resided at 2423B, San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley. By 1951 Bert and Pauline moved to a house at 68 Tarman Avenue, Hayward, California, where they lived through at least 1957. Bert was a salesman during this period. In 1953 and 1955 his employer was given as Rathjen Bros., Oakland. The Kundes had moved out of Hayward by 1959, and shortly after were living in San Leandro. From the early 1960s onward, the family lived in a house at 17450 Almond Road, Castro Valley, California. Albert died October 23, 1981 in Alameda County, California, at fifty-six years of age. His last Social Security benefit and last residence were in Castro Valley, Alameda County, California. Services were held 2:00 P.M. October 26 at Chapel of the Valley, Castro Valley, California. Rev. Gilbert Christian officiated. Burial was at sea, near Hawaii. After Albert's death Pauline continued to live in the Castro Valley house. Pauline died January 8, 1994 in —, Alameda County, California, at sixty-eight years of age. Her last Social Security benefit and last residence were in Castro Valley, Alameda County, California. |
